annual fun show

About.....

This fun event is held every year in October and brings equestrians and horse lovers together from Boulder County and nearby front range communities. It’s a relaxed and entertaining day of equestrian classes and games at the Boulder County Fairgrounds–and it’s the year’s most important (and FUN) fundraiser for BCHA.

Don’t miss the wildly popular pre-Halloween costume class where horse and rider dress to impress! Champagne class and musical cones bring high drama and loads of laughs.

The show welcomes people of all ages, levels, and riding disciplines, and all horse breeds.  It is a day to have fun, demonstrate and enjoy the bond you have with your horses, and to build lasting relationships in the community. Ribbons are presented to contestants coming in 1st through 5th Place. Awards for High Point in each age group are also provided. Classes are divided by age:

  • 6-10 years
  • 11 to 13 years
  • 14 to 17 years
  • 18+ years

Classes include: Flag, Barrel and Pole Races, Egg n’ Spoon, Bareback, English and Western Equitation Classes, and more. Let your creativity shine in the Halloween-inspired Costume Class! This local favorite is a great opportunity to celebrate the season and see some fantastically dressed up horses and riders.

Volunteer

There are lots of fun opportunities to help out on the day of the show! From assisting the judge to setting up gymkhana patterns and handing out ribbons. Let us know what you’re interested in and we’ll match you with the right job for an hour–or the entire day!
